INVINCIBLE® 15th Anniversary with Shinsuke Nakada x CARHARTT WIP

To mark the 15th anniversary of INVINCIBLE®, Carhartt WIP has collaborated with the Taiwanese retailer and brand to create a 7-piece capsule collection, which pursues the idea of constant evolution and reinvention of time-honored classics.

For this collaboration, INVINCIBLE® has worked with the Japanese designer Shinsuke Nakada, who is known for work that excavates elements of classic Americana while also reinterpreting brands’ DNA to offer fresh perspectives. The collection sees Nakada parlay Carhartt WIP’s utilitarian archetypes into a series of garments that take inspiration from outdoor gear and Taiwan’s shrimp fishing culture.

Throughout the collection, garments carry a loose, wide fit, as well as functional outdoor-inspired elements, such as synthetic twill fabrics, multi-pocket construction and mesh linings. The classic Chore Coat, for example, has been reimagined with a detachable hood and two rear patch pockets with hammer loop detailing — a nod to the brand’s work pants. The coat’s front four-pocket construction is further complemented by zip-pocket detailing taken from the brand’s Michigan Coat.

The Double Knee Pant, meanwhile, has been reworked in a looser silhouette, with adjustable tie detailing at the waist and leg opening, as well as an iPhone-sized tool pocket.

These signature elements repeat throughout the collection, in the form of a relaxed shirt jacket with sleeve pocket detailing; a crewneck sweatshirt and hooded sweatshirt, both bearing a kangaroo pouch with discrete phone storage; and a pocket t-shirt. Each item places an emphasis on silhouette and ease-of-use. The selection of products is rounded out by a bucket hat with a single snap-button pocket.

Each item features Carhartt WIP’s woven square label, accented by embroidery that represents INVINCIBLE®’s tornado logo.

INVINCIBLE® 15th Anniversary with Shinsuke Nakada will be available from March 4th via INVINCIBLE® stores and its online shop, as well as select Carhartt WIP stores and carhartt-wip.com. In Belgium the collection will be available in the Antwerp store, Kammenstraat 70.

Over Carhartt WIP
